Master Sciences in Epidemiology
Dr. FARES completed her training in Endocrinology and Metabolism at the American University of Beirut- Medical center and got her diploma in 2002. Since she was interested in research, she was enrolled in the field of Epidemiology and obtained her Master in Epidemiology in 2004.
During her training she had many teaching activities and joined up the workshops offered to physicians coming from the Arab countries (Jordan & Qatar). She had publications on diabetes, thyroid, parathyroid and bone diseases.
Currently she is an instructor at the Lebanese American University- school of Medicine. She is attending both the metabolic and the endocrine units at the obesity and weight Control center. In addition, she has special interest in research on the Metabolic Syndrome and Diabetes, the two main consequences of obesity.
